Pipe Fittings and Accessories has been trading in water design and construction since 1981, but we were officially established in 1987.
In 2017, we celebrated our 30th successful year in business as Southern Africa’s foremost water reticulation specialist
In that time, we’ve been heavily involved in projects in Botswana, Zambia, Lesotho and other areas of Southern Africa, making a name for Pipe Fittings and Accessories that is synonymous with excellence and service.
In 2003, we realised the impact of the work we were doing in designing water supply networks, when we had to move from our initial warehouse. We had expanded to the point that we needed a bigger warehouse to conduct business from. We then outgrew that warehouse too, and had to get additional office space in 2014.
Bringing Water to Communities
We were awarded the Dikgatlhong Dam Contract, which helped us prove to the Botswana government that we are the partners of choice when it comes to moving water.
We were awarded the Dikgatlhong Dam Contract, which helped us prove to the Botswana government that we are the partners of choice when it comes to moving water. Being a part of a project that supplies water to villages and communities is an incredible honour, and something that we feel very privileged to do.
Water is the most basic resource and human right, and there are still communities around the world who don’t have the water reticulation specialty teams nearby to help give them their rightful access to water.
The projects we have been involved in have helped communities just like this, by supplying water to remote, outlying areas that are far flung from the bustling metropolises.
It’s in completing these projects – where water was previously scarce – that we find immense satisfaction in the work we do.
In addition to supplying water to communities, we employ local citizens when working on projects in Botswana. This fuels job creation and offers the communities a way to get personally involved in something that will benefit them for years to come. We are bound to these communities and will help them overcome outages in emergency situations, even if it means providing materials in the dark of the night.
The job of moving water is always ongoing, and we are only too pleased to play our part.
OUR PROJECTS
DIKGATLHONG DAM PROJECT
The Dikgatlhong Dam Pipeline Contract started at the dam with a 2-Megawatt pump station. Water is pumped along a 75km long 1200mm diameter welded steel pipeline to Selebi Phikwe. There are 44 washout and 146 air valve chambers along the pipeline.
